Connect a client

Claude Code

Run in your terminal:

claude mcp add asciify --transport http https://asciify.art/api/mcp

Claude Desktop

Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector with the endpoint URL, or add this to claude_desktop_config.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "asciify": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "mcp-remote",
        "https://asciify.art/api/mcp"
      ]
    }
  }
}

Cursor

Add to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in a project):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "asciify": {
      "url": "https://asciify.art/api/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Plain HTTP (curl)

The endpoint speaks plain JSON-RPC, so you can call it without an MCP client:

curl -s -X POST https://asciify.art/api/mcp \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/call",
       "params":{"name":"generate_text_banner",
                 "arguments":{"text":"HELLO","font":"Standard"}}}'
